A 12 -year -old girl of Argentine nationality died after her father lost control of the vehicle in which she was traveling and impacting a containment barrier on the route between the communes of Los Lagos and Panguipulli, Los Ríos Region, in the middle of the journey to return to her country of origin.
The incident occurred on the morning of this Sunday in the vicinity of the Malihue bridge, when an Argentine family who was on vacation, composed of two adults with their two children, mobilized in the truck that overturned while they headed to the Hua Hum border complex to return to the trans -Andean country.
The service commissioner of the Second Police Station of Los Lagos, Captain Julio Mardones, said that The driver would have lost control of the vehicle because of the mist present in the place.
For this reason he could not see the continuity of the road and hit a containment barrier, turning to a ground with slope. Product of the accident, a 12 -year -old girl died.
From Carabineros they pointed out that the other three people involved in this accident were left with reserved injuries, although out of vital risk.
