To process and update the certification of commercial premises that make life in the municipality of Valencia, members of the fire Department began at the review days of fire prevention and protection systems.
This activity is carried out to guarantee the preservation of the establishments and the people who use them, as an important requirement to obtain licenses and permits before the Mayor’s Office.
In this sense, the director of the Prevention Unit, Captain (B) Reinaldo Vásquez, informed that complying with the instructions of Mayor Dina Castillo Effective of the Fire Department of Valencia make visits to commercial premises of the Valencia municipality, “to verify compliance with the presidential decree two thousand hundred ninety five and the technical safety standards in the country.”
He pointed out that the objective of each inspection is to verify that the premises meet the minimum requirements and systems in fire prevention and extinction.
He explained that some of the requested requirements vary according to the size of each premises. “If the place has a footage less than 300 meters, it must have extinguishers, emergency lamps, and electricity drivers and cables sausages in metal pipe.”
-“If the premises have an area equal to or greater than 300 square meters, it must also have a alarm or central fire detection system, as the main safety element, in addition to signaling emergency exits and depending on the risk and the total footage must have a fixed extinction system with its own impulse (fire pump),” said Captain Vásquez.
He added that once the visit and inspection have been fulfilled, both to the active commercial premises, and to those who are in the process of requesting the use in accordance, to process the corresponding industry and trade patent, “after verifying that they meet all the security requirements necessary for their operation, their certification is given in 10 business days.”
These actions reiterate the full commitment of the national, regional and municipal government to protect the Valencian people and generate their maximum happiness.
