26 doctors will specialize to strengthen public Health in the Chiloé Health Service
Within the framework of the National Contest of Admission to the Public Health System (CONISS 2025) and the Cone Scholarship process of the Ministry of Health, 26 doctors are initiating their specialization process in various universities in the country, with the commitment to return for six years to the assistance network of the Chiloé Health Service, as a way of removing the scholarship obtained.
The information was announced to the director of the Chiloé Health Service, Marcela Cárcamo, who stressed that the strategy seeks to strengthen medical care in the province of Chiloé, allowing new and diverse specialties to integrate local health centers. With this, the director explained, progress is made in the government’s purpose to bring public health closer to citizens, strengthening the care network and providing appropriate and quality responses, while promoting the professional development of doctors within the public system.
Five were the doctors selected in the Cone 2025 process who will specialize in Legal Medicine at the University of La Frontera, in Pediatrics at the University of La Frontera; in Pediatrics, at the Universidad Austral de Chile; in emergency medicine at the Universidad Austral and in pathological anatomy also at the Universidad Austral.
On the other hand, through the Coniss 2025 process, 21 doctors will attend specialties such as: Imaging, Otolaryngology, General Surgery, Pediatric Surgery, Adult Neurology, Anesthesiology, Adult Psychiatry, Pediatrics, Traumatology and Orthopedics, Legal Medicine, Family Medicine, Urgent Medicine and Internal Medicine in different universities of the country such as the University of Development, the University of Development, at the University of Chile, Universidad Diego Portales, Universidad Andrés Bello, University of Concepción, Universidad Autónoma, University of Santiago de Chile; San Sebastián University, University of La Frontera and University of Valparaíso.
With the specialization of the scholars, said Marcela Cárcamo, the Chiloé Health Service not only reinforces its medical endowment, but also ensures continuous, more specialized and close care to the needs of the island community: “first of first I want For the different hospitals of the province’s care network.
