Washington, of the Mexican government joined the alliance for the Security, justice and Development of the Inter -American Development Bank (IDB). An initiative proposed by the agency to member countries since November.
In a brief statement through his official social network “X”, the president of the IDB, Ilan Golfajn said he welcomed Mexico to the aforementioned Alliance.
After the bilateral meeting with the president of the IDB, in parallel to his participation in the FMI spring meetings and the BM, he explained that with this participation of Mexico, a safer and more prosperous region can be created.
last December, President Goldfajn launched the aforementioned alliance in Barbados.
-He explained that in the IDB they understand that there is no single formula to respond to organized crime, much less when these criminal organizations evolve so quickly.
He explained that the main approach of this initiative revolves around three work axes: limit its influence among the most vulnerable populations eliminating the causes in young people who are exposed to recruiting organized crime.
Strengthening state institutions and the last axis, is to cut illicit financial flows.
The president of the IDB added that the agency is reported ready to help Mexico encourage the growth of the economy.
