Companions and companions, sisters and brothers:
We explain what happened to the two companions Zapatista support bases, José Baldemar Sántiz Sántiz and Andrés Manuel Säntiz Gómez, who were illegally arrested and kidnapped by the Joint Forces of the Federal government and the state on April 26 of this 2025.
They were disappeared for 55 hours and were only presented before the corrupt authority, thanks to the pressure of the Fray Bartolomé de las Casas human Rights Center. They were accused of aggravated kidnapping against Pedro Díaz Gómez.
In the arrest, the forces of the National Guard, the Federal Army and the so -called immediate reaction forces Pakal, took advantage and robbed belongings and pay of those affected and the communities. They stole a car, a motorcycle and a strong amount of cash.
While the Supreme Government played with the life, freedom and assets of the two detainees illegally, the Zaponomous Autonomous authorities carried out their own investigation with the Truth and justice Guide in common.
I remind you that, as organized peoples that we are in common, we have principles and regulations. It is not allowed to attempt against the lives, freedom and goods of other people, whatever their ideology, party, religion, sexual preference, skin color, race, language, nationality or social position. In the case of murder, kidnapping, assault, rape, falsification and robbery, these are serious offenses. In addition, there are not allowing drug trafficking, its production and consumption. As well as drunkenness and other faults that are determined in common.
Any partner, regardless of their position or rank, incurred in serious crimes, is out of Zapatista.
Knowing the arrest and serious accusation against these two companions, the Galez investigated whether they are involved in kidnapping matters. The organizational structure in charge of investigating came to the conclusion that the two colleagues are innocent.
Thus Frayba was informed.
Not satisfied with that, the autonomous authorities continued to investigate and arrived confirming the participation in the crime of two other people. These two criminals were arrested and, with respect to their human rights, were put into custody in one of the Zapatista communities.
The two criminals confessed the kidnapping and murder against Pedro Díaz Gómez, and pointed out the precise place where they had buried the body. They pointed out the complicity of other people.
This was informed of Frayba, who communicated it to the authorities of the bad government.
Seeing that they would be ridiculous once again, the corrupt authorities ran to mobilize their forces and arrested one of the aforementioned that was a fugitive. This person confirmed the confessed to the Zapatista authorities. That was how they came to the place where the body of the victim of crime was buried.
All this the government knew at its three levels of government, but nothing did. Instead of immediately freeing our innocent fellow, they gave the matter long and proposed an exchange of detainees. Thus they could bribe the media and sell them the story that everything had been the merit of state and federal justice. And they could also keep what stole the poor originals who suffered their attack.
The bad government sent its repressive forces again in search of a room involved. But not only did they stop him, they also took the opportunity to continue stealing belongings from the communities.
Meanwhile, federal and state authorities pressed and threatened human rights defenders because their complaint was going to show them as they are: repressors of innocent and guilty manufacturers.
In the early hours of May 2, 2025, confesses arrested by the Zapatistas to the Fray Bartolomé de las Casas Human Rights Center were delivered to review the health status of the detainees and certify if their rights had been violated. Frayba proceeded to give the culprits to the official authority.
During the morning of this May 2, our companions Baldemar and Andrés were released. But government robbers refuse to return everything they stripped.
The governments of the so -called 4T lie in everything they say regarding the original peoples and social movements. They are the same or worse than previous PRI governments. Those amounts that presume “arrested”, to please Trump, are mostly innocent. Instead of buying favorable opinions in social media and networks, bad governments should pay their repressive forces well so that they do not have to steal those who have less or nothing.
What happened is not only in our territories. Throughout the geography called “Mexico”, the original communities, the defenders of Mother Earth, the defenders of human rights, the movements and social organizations, the migrants and even the simple people, who work day by day to honestly earn the daily sustenance, are extorted, attacked, kidnapped, disappeared, imprisoned and murdered by a government anxious for congratulating with the power of money.
They have no remedy.
The capitalist system was born badly, product of injustices, blood and robbery. This is how it continues so far, regardless of the flags under which it is hidden. His sign is death and he will take him until the end of his days.
As Zapatista peoples we have thought of a way of fighting the empire of death. We call that “the common” path.
And in this painful past situation, it was seen that the common walks through truth and justice.
This achievement of the liberation of our two innocent fellow was the result of a triple effort: that of human rights defenders, that of national and international solidarity and support, and that of autonomous justice.
It is time not to forget other brothers, near and far in geography, suffering from the mortal attacks of the evil system. Let’s not forget the original peoples, the missing and who are looking for, to the defenders of Mother Earth, the people who are only a number in the statistics of the crime, to the Palestinian people.
