Last Tuesday, March 25, the LNH, the Union of Professional Handball Clubs (UCPH) and the French Handball Associations Collective (CASHF) signed an agreement that facilitates the structuring of the fans. It is a historical decision and a step forward in the representation of handball in France.
Created in January 2023, after several heated events by and against fans, fans who were forbidden to carry certain shirts in certain pavilions or players attacked by fans, CASHF has just signed an agreement to facilitate supporting in the Starligue and proligue.
This signed agreement guarantees:
-
Easier reservations for fans of the opposite team
-
Quotas of reserved places
-
A preferential rate
- -
An exclusive seat area in the stands
-
A minimum of authorized material
-
The certainty of being able to wear the colors of your club
-
Facilitated communication between clubs and fans thanks to the appointment of referents among the fans of each Starligue and Proligue club
While this agreement currently applies to the male championship, the women’s championship is in Cashf’s sights, as explained by Lise Rubio, communication director commenting that From the beginning, CASHF planned to open up to the women’s clubs that wish in a second phase. It is the next logical step. It has not yet been completed for the simple reason that everything takes a long time and first we wanted to set solid bases in male handball, which is our field, before moving on to the next stage. No hurry. The integration of interested female clubs is also in the agenda of our next annual general assembly This General Assembly must take place towards the end of August.
