The Absolute Universe advances inexorable. Does not stop by anyone, even for those who are late with respect to the original story. In a few days the second number of Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman will be released, while in the US they have just presented the ninth preview. And we have seen interesting things about steel man.
It turns out that Superman is about to release a new suit … or at least part. It maintains the technological design based on the Kypton of the Absolute Universe, but now it has a helmet that gives it a brutal futuristic touch. Remember other armor -based designs. And what does this change come? Because a group of revolutionary heroes whose origin dates back to 1981.
The Absolute Superman #9 Preview, shared by Screenrant, shows that Kal-El joins the Omega men, a group of extraterrestrial heroes that emerged in the Vega system to combat the tyranny of the Citadelians race. They are an alternative to the Green Lantern Corps, who could not interfere with this system due to an ancient agreement.
Their renegade and revolutionary nature makes them the perfect ally for Superman in their fight against the Lázaro Corporation. While it seemed that this group had not convinced Superman to join them in Absolute Superman #4the ninth implies that they have finally achieved it.
But the matter is much more complex. Omega men are classified as a group of both revolutionaries and liberators and terrorists and radicals. And it makes sense, its methods inside and outside this universe are quite extreme. There is also the issue that they share symbol with Darkseid. In this case, they are the main enemy of the Lázaro Corporation, so they look like Superman’s logical ally. However, sharing enemy does not imply having the same ideals … and they could love Kal-El as a weapon of mass destruction.
