Sometimes, what seems like a catastrophe ends up being the best play of fate. That happened to Dave Mustaine, the explosive frontman of Megadeth, who continues to remember with a mixture of nostalgia, humor and a touch of resentment, the day they threw him out of Metallica. In talk with the journalist Steve Rosen, Mustaine released several truths without filter. “They threw me out of my own damn band”he said with a laugh. But what at the time felt like a stab, ended up being the push he needed to create his own musical empire. It was not easy to start from scratch. Dave tells it clear: “Many times there are people who throw themselves with who you used to touch. But you also notice that there is inner peace: “Come on, man, he is a good guitarist. It is probably much better than whoever you are tweeting.”
