“I think we are moving,” said Yuri Ushakov on state television on Thursday in response to a question about the advances in the field.
Trump later said He does not expect to meet with Putin in Saudi Arabia during his trip next week to the Middle East. But the American leader told journalists at the White House that Both are having very good conversations.
Putin has so far refused to accept the US proposals for a long -term fire and a definitive peace agreement in the war that is already in its fourth year. That has caused growing frustration in the White House, with the US warning that he could leave the conversations.

“There is an understanding of what we demand, of what we want to achieve as a result of this situation,” said Ushakov. “And to some extent, our demands, our considerations, our proposals are still taken into account, although not all, of course. But the process is underway.”
Russia has established some maximalist conditions that They include obtaining the total control of the four partially occupied regions of Ukraine and the international recognition of its sovereignty over the territories. He also insists that he will not accept any force from NATO in Ukrainian territory and wants all western arms supplies to kyiv to stop.

Moscow currently hosts the commemorations of the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II. Putin had conversations with his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinpingon Thursday, in which both countries emphasized their alliance and in their interest in forming what they called “a more fair and democratic multipolar world order.”
