Havana- more than 400 Cubans residing in 50 countries today reaffirmed their commitment to support the Cuban system through donations of medical supplies and collaboration in research projects, in a meeting held today as part of the activities of the Convention Cuba Health 2025.

Dr. José Ángel Portal Miranda, Minister of Public Health, offered an of health indicators in the country, with positive in the decrease in infant mortality, attention to the elderly, monitoring of non -transmissible and infectious diseases and the strengthening of the Immunization Program with 17 vaccines, 10 of them of national production.

He highlighted the wide Cuban medical collaboration in 56 countries, providing medical services to the most intricate areas, as well as the of more than 80 thousand foreign professionals.

Given the discredit campaigns towards Cuban medical missions, he reaffirmed that this country maintains its willingness to help nations that require this cooperation, since solidarity and humanism distinguishes the Cuban health system.
