Virginia Giuffre, victim of the late magnate and sexual predator Jeffrey Epstein, committed committed suicide this Thursday in Dutegabby, Australia, where she had lived for several years, her family reported in a statement. He was 41 years old. Giuffre accused Epstein of exploiting her sexually with his powerful friends, including Prince Andrés and French models Jean-Luc Brunel.
“With the heart shattered, we announced that Virginia died last night on her farm in Western Australia,” said his family in a statement cited by US media. “He lost his life to commit suicide, after being a victim of sexual abuse and sexual trafficking throughout his life,” he added.
“Virginia was a tireless fighter against sexual abuse and sexual trafficking. It was the light that illuminated so many survivors. Despite all the adversities she faced in her life, she shone strongly. We will miss her much. The light of her life was her children Christian, Noah and Emily,” says the family statement.
“There are no words to express the great loss we feel today with the death of our beloved Virginia. He was heroic and will always be remembered for his incredible courage and his love spirit. In the end, the weight of abuse was so great that Virginia was unbearable to endure it. We know he is with angels.”
In 2000, when Giuffre was 16, she was recruited by which she was a lover and partner of Epstein, Ghislaine Maxwell. Other survivors of Epstein’s abuse gave him credit later for giving them the value to speak. Giuffre herself sued Maxwell in 2015. Demand closed with an extrajudicial agreement in 2016, shortly before the trial began.

He has always denied having had sex with her.
