According to official sources, Cuba will mobilize about five million people on May 1 during the central activities for International Workers Day.
The top leader of the Central of Workers of Cuba, Ulises Guilarte, presented at a press conference that some 700 international delegates from more than 30 countries, representing a hundred union organizations of the five continents, will participate in the celebration.
-He said that union mobilizations are expected throughout the country, and the traditional capital march will be resumed in front of the José Martí Revolution Square.
In that site loaded with symbolism, the historical leader Fidel Castro proclaimed 25 years ago- on May 1, 2000- the concept of revolution that expresses today the conviction of consolidating socialism with the broadest participation of workers, said Guilarte.
