Guantanamo, May 4 (ACN) Cultural Institutions of Guantanamo convene the XLVII edition of the Regino Literature and Plastic Arts Contest Eladio Boti, which will be held from June 4 to 7 and in which the writers residing in the country may participate.
The Free Theme contest is organized by the Provincial Directorate of Culture, the Provincial Center of Book and Literature, the Provincial Council of Plastic Arts, (CPAP), the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and the association Hermanos Saíz (AHS).
It is detailed that this year the event will be dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the Kindergarten poems, the work of Regino Eladio Boti, one of the most relevant cultural personalities of the Cuban twentie Beaton
The call emphasizes that in literature, the call is for unpublished works of poetry (includes tenth) and sociocultural history, in books of 60 to 80 pages in its digital format (Arial 12, Linened 1.5).
In this section, the AHS will reward an author under 35 years (although he is not a member of the association), with publication of his work in EPUB format, copyright payment and invitation to the next edition of the day the island by weight.
This artistic demonstration will also be given a single prize endowed with 25 thousand pesos in national currency.
For the plastic arts, the photograph – digital, analog or experimental – will dominate the call, in which each artist will be able to present up to three works, with maximum measures of 1×1 meter in photographic paper, or 3×3 meters (in other supports that do not require marquetry) that do not have prizes in other events.

Its incentives include 25 thousand pesos for the winner, two creation scholarships: 50 thousand pesos of the CPAP and a personal exhibition for a young man under 35, courtesy of the AHS, while the projects will have institutional accompaniment both for their realization and their promotion and can make an itinerary for the country’s galleries network.

The event transcends the concept of competition to become a link between times, established in 1978 in tribute to the centenary of the poet, essayist and painter Regino Eladio Boti, key figure of Cuban culture.
This initiative not only celebrates its work but is also consolidated as a fundamental space for the development of art and literature, while promoting dialogue with the cultural roots of Guantanamo and the nation as a whole.
