In an effort to strengthen medical knowledge and improve the approach to metabolic endocrine disease in the Carabobo state, the municipal management of The Guayosdirected by Mayor Mervelis Moreno de Burgos, in alliance with the University of Health Sciences (UCS) “Hugo Chávez Frías”, issued the workshop “update in the integral management of diabetes mellitus” for the appropriate procedures of protocols in patients with this health condition.
The event, which brought together more than one hundred participants, among students from the last years of medicine and health professionals of the different health centers of the Carabobeña entity, was attended by the director of health of the municipality, Dr. Gustavo Arcila; the Health Programs Coordinator, Dr. Nidia Jiménez de Arcila; While, on behalf of the UCS, Dr. Karina Peñaloza J., of the Division of Continuous training and Dr. Jaqueline Tapia, socio-integral coordinator of the National Training Programs of the aforementioned house of higher studies.
As a representative of the local administration, Dr. Gustavo Arcila emphasized that, through this alliance with the Higher Education Institution, Mayor Mervelis Moreno de Burgos, with the permanent support of the governor Rafael Lacava a Through the Carabobeño Health Institute (Insalud), it has drawn a clear guideline around permanent training and the constant update of health professionals who serve the population of the municipality, in the improvement of their quality of life, so during the event awards were given to the speakers in the event for their contribution to the improvement of health services for patients with this disease.
-The specialists dealt with the definition, classification of more recent diabetes and advances in their treatment, corresponding to Dr. Katushka Carreño, coordinator of the medical line of the endocrine-methabolic program, addressed the most up-to-date protocols, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and comprehensive care to improve the quality of life of patients with this health condition. “The update allows our state’s health professionals to deepen their knowledge and optimize patients,” he said.
While the Licda. Dayana Aguilar, Regional Coordinator of the Endocrine-Metabolic Program of the Carabobo State, stressed the importance of updating knowledge personnel in knowledge to perform the early diagnosis of diabetes mellitus and instructed on due care and treatment to avoid complications and training on the different treatment protocols, the use of various types of insulin and the devices currently used in its administration. “We are here to give a health contribution and serve the community at all times with our consultations and comprehensive patient care,” he said.
For his part, Brayan Solarte, a student of sixth year of Medicine, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to access updated information: “This type of training gives us essential tools to make more precise diagnoses and contribute to the improvement of our patients.”
