Chihuanhuaylla explained that the bases will not allow Antauro Humala to apply to the Senate under JP’s ranks for two main reasons. Secondly, he warned the risk that JP’s candidacies be labeled after registration scheduled for December 23. He recalled that there is a serious precedent: the Antauro party, led by Antauro Humala, was dissolved by the Supreme Court and its cancellation ratified by the National Jury of Elections, due to attacks against the democratic order.
“When Antauro appeared saying, proclaiming, that he was going to change the logo and the name of the party, Roberto Sánchez never consulted the bases. Not even with the National Executive Committee (CEN); we have not met months ago,” he denounced.
The leader emphasized that any agreement with Humala’s ethnocacerists, as well as an eventual postulation to the Senate, must have been submitted first to CEN and then decided in a National Congress. “He (Roberto Sánchez) has acted dictatorially, not democratic. He had to consult the bases or the provincial secretaries. A political party is due to its bases, not to unilateral decisions,” said the head of the Ethics Committee.
Finally, Chihuanhuaylla launched a hard criticism: “We see (Sánchez) as an authoritarian person, who now joins Antaur risks.

Internal troubles in JP
The president of the Ethics Committee of Together for Peru (JP), Vanessa Chihuanhuaylla, denounced the existence of a precautionary measure that suspends Roberto Sánchez, congressman and president of the party for 180 days, for his alleged responsibility in the adulteration of minutes and the irregular assistance during a congress held on December 9. The leader added that, during the congress, the quorum necessary for its validation was not reached, but the event was also held. Subsequently, the party, allegedly influenced by Sánchez, changed to the ethics committee and suspended Chihuanhuaylla from his position for 180 days, a resolution that she considers illegitimate and that she rejects in full.
Asked about the actions that the bases will Take to the possible agreement with Antauro Humala, which could lead to his application to the Senate and the creation of an alliance under the name of ‘Together by Antauro’, Chihuanhuaylla said they will be announced in the next few days.
-Peru21 had previously informed that, during the Ethnocacerist Extraordinary National Congress, Antauro Humala had confirmed his intention to form a block with together for Peru in the next electoral contest. Likewise, based on the recently approved ethics and discipline regulations, this Committee has issued Resolution No. 001-2025-CNED/JP through which the disciplinary procedure is initiated to the Affiliated Affiliate Elvia Vanessa Chihuanhuaylla Aroni, dictating the precautionary measure of suspension of their rights and powers of militant affiliate and leader at any level of the political organization Condition of National Secretary of Ethics and Discipline, for the period of 180 days, which has been notified to the affiliate for its corresponding discharges.
