Miguel García Urbani will present his new book “33 poems on the billboard” This Saturday, April 26, at 19.30, in Librería Antifishin the mall bar, Guaymallén.
The work was born between Mendoza and Alicante, edited by the universal lover and Editorial Golondrina. It contains the substance of 33 films that the announcer and journalist enjoyed from April to August 2024.
“In those months, I saw the movies, I wrote about them, but do not believe that it is a film critique, or that I tell what happens in the movie. No, it is the film -it is a short film, a feature film or a documentary film -simply a trigger and offers me some aspect, some temperature, some color or words that I liked. From there the first lines were born,” said the author.
The event will be free, it will begin at 7.30 pm and the singer Jerónimo Flores and guitarist Sebastián Kusselman making jazz and tango will accompany him; while the writer will project segments of the films intervened in the book.
“The idea of the book emerged by chance because one day watching” sacrifice “, a movie by Andréi Tarkovsky, this wonderful Russian director that I love, had the computer on the knees and started writing in an automatic average way about what I was seeing. He added: “From the first moment I knew that it was not going to be a learned work about cinema because I am not a cynophile of these super informed that know all the details and that is quite clear in the prologue. I let myself be moved by aspects of the films that sometimes have nothing to do with the plot, but with some aesthetic developments linked to photography, to some words, to the faces, the textures, the textures, the colors, the colors. And that seemed to me that I went directly to poetry, that’s why I chose that genre.
Presentation in Buenos Aires
