The National Renewal Senator (RN) and former presidential ex -candidate of the community, Manuel José Ossandón, accused a “disloyalty” by the humorist and radio driver, Sergio “Checho” Hirane.
The latter, after ensuring that Presidential candidate Evelyn Matthei (UDI) contacted him to compete together in an eventual primary of Chile Vamos.
“She, at first, did not want to have a primary school with Carter and obviously the need for primaries was a fact of the cause, because the others are going to be in primary talking about politics and the center is going to be mute because it does not have primary,” he said in agriculture.
Asked about it, Ossandón accused a “disloyalty” by “Checho” Hirane, also considering the friendship he has with Matthei.
“If the journalist and humorist El Checho Hirane tells a personal conversation, it is an act of a tremendous disloyalty,” He whipped.
“I understood that Evelyn Matthei and Checho Hirane were friends because they were colleagues at the university, But if she raised something like that and he said it, very ugly, it seems to me from him, very unfair, ” insisted.
In that sense, he ruled out a disloyalty of Senator Francisco Chahuán, who also revealed a conversation with the presidential flag of Chile Vamos, who even asked to renounce RN to compete in primary.
-“Chahuán is a political figure and is great. I am convinced that he has always believed that he is competitive and if he said ‘this is my chance’ and that is respectable,” he said.
“I think it is not competitive, but he does believe that it is competitive. So, when the possibility of competing was opened, Chahuán said ‘this is mine’ and it seems commendable and it seems to me that it is an opportunity of a person who is political,” he insisted.
“But It is not the same as a commentator or a person who is not in politics tells him to go to a primary, because that is a chacota, ” sentenced.
It should be noted that “Checho” Hirane went out to explain his sayings through social networks, clarifying that he received no formal invitation.
“I want to make a clarification so as not to continue with false controversies: nobody never formally offered me to participate in any primary. In corridor conversations I said that I would be available to participate if I helped them with the realization of them. That’s all. There is nothing else,” wrote in X.
Finally, Ossandón supported Chile’s decision we go directly on the first round with Matthei, considering that they failed to convince José Antonio Kast and Johannes Kaiser to go to primaries.
“I think it was about doing in a primary as wide as possible,” said the president of the Senate, adding that “the primaries have to be competitive and for me the two competitive with Evelyn Matthei was Kaiser and Kast. And if they did not want, in my opinion, there should be no primary.”
