This establishes Resolution 3 of 2025, issued by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, said Labor Organization Director, Guillermo Sarmiento Cabanas.
The document, collected in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Cuba number 39, published on April 23, covers more than 5,700 people and establishes a differentiation between the teaching staff and the researchers with the rest of the employees.
For the former, the specialist said, the increase will range from one thousand to 3,000 pesos, on a scale that begins five years old and reaches up to 30. Beyond that limit, 400 pesos will be increased every two years. Non -teaching staff will receive half of those benefits.
Meanwhile, he added, resolution 4, reflected in the same Gazette, provides to double the amount of night work, 50 to one hundred pesos, for the specialties of anesthesiology and
-Resuscitation, Neonatology, Pediatric Intensive Medicine and Adult Intensive Medicine of the Budget Sector.
The night schedule includes from seven at night until seven in the morning, but will also be subject to that measure on Saturday shifts, starting at noon, and on Sundays, after seven in the morning, Sarmiento Cabanas explained.
As an addition, every hour will be rewarded with 20 pesos, that is, for high complexity work. In total, more than 6,800 doctors will be favored with an average of 7,000 pesos above their scale salary.
Nursing attendees who attend patients in the homes of the elderly, Sicopedagogical Medical Centers and psychiatric hospitals will receive the additional payment of the social economic interest coefficient of 45 % on their salary, translated into around 1,200 pesos, he announced.
A retroactive payment will be made from 1st. January 2025 for cases specified in both resolutions. “This is not a closed chapter, we evaluate all the most sensitive issues attended by our ministry,” said Sarmiento Cabanas.
