The Argentine singer María Becerra was hospitalized and operated in an emergency in the early hours of Tuesday at the Zabala Clinic, in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Belgrano, for an “acute abdomen with hypovolemic shock,” according to local media.
The news was known on Wednesday night through the journalist Gustavo Méndez of the streaming channel ‘Love/ST’, who explained that Becerra had to go to a medical guard near midnight, after experiencing strong abdominal pain.
In the sanatorium it was stabilized and subject to studies that determined an emergency intervention to stop internal bleeding.
According to Méndez, the diagnosis was “acute abdomen with hypovolemic shock”, a severe clinical picture that implies a significant loss of blood and can compromise the functioning of vital organs.
After the operation, the artist was transferred to the Intensive Therapy Unit (UTI), where she received mechanical ventilation and a blood transfusion due to the anemia caused by the loss of blood, although the evolution of the urban pop singer was favorable and could be extended.
In the LAM television program, they reported that Becerra spent the night with a respirator due to blood loss, which required additional assistance to oxygenate your body, although it is already out of danger, it will remain hospitalized a few more days due to caution and medical monitoring.
The singer crossed an “ectopic pregnancy that resulted in an internal hemorrhage with life risk”, but was operated successfully and “finds it stable, in recovery and at rest,” said a statement released by the official account of the artist on Instagram.
“Mari again crossed an ectopic pregnancy that resulted in an internal hemorrhage with life risk. Thanks to the rapid intervention of (his partner) Juli, of the medical team and the accompanying environment, it was possible to act on time,” said the publication.
The text also said that the singer “came out healthy and saved from the operation” to which she was subjected on Wednesday night, “after going through intensive care.”
Despite this, the entrance said that its professional and public activities, as well as those of his partner, the artist Julián Reininger (known as J Rei), “will be suspended until new notice, completely prioritizing their recovery.”
“This is a deep healing process, which requires time, care and much love. At this time, your physical and emotional well -being is the only priority. We know that, together with Juli, they will go through this path to their own rhythm, with the strength and love that unites them,” the text explained.
Meanwhile, Becerra’s brother, Juan Manuel, also referred to the singer’s health on her Instagram account.
“I go to take some peace of mind to those people who are wondering me. Maria is improving, maybe pass a common room and in a few days they discharge. Let’s ask for her and her prompt recovery. Thank you,” wrote the young man.
In September 2024, the singer had already surprised her more than 14 million Instagram followers by revealing that she had to undergo surgical intervention because she was studying another ectopic pregnancy.
