Margarita Ahumada, mother of Nahuel Córdoba, held a doctor from the San Juan Bautista hospital (HSJB) for the death of her son. He did it yesterday in an interview he provided to El Ancasti. On the occasion, Ahumada asked why he thinks Nahuel died. “Because the doctor let him die. Because he abandoned person.
Ahumada commented that in Nahuel’s body “there were no more wounds than his right knee, he never lost knowledge.” The parent also charge against the doctor because “there was a week in which three days did not appear in the room. He went to the doctors’ room and hit the return and left.” The woman also said that justice will be done. On the other hand, he stressed that after the death of Nahuel, the doctor did not contact her. “Neither he communicated with me, nor did I communicate with him. If he was not present when my son was alive, why now? In justice he has to present, declare and not lie. They say that the bodies speak. My son’s body spoke,” he closed.
The doctor in question was presented spontaneously days in the Attorney General and made himself available to justice. For now there was no summary against him. Currently, he is licensed for preventive reasons. The investigation for Nahuel’s death is being directed by Instruction Prosecutor No. 6, Facundo Barros Jorrat. The case corresponds to him because it happened when he was on duty and in his jurisdiction.
For now, the Prosecutor’s Office does not rule out any hypothesis. In the last hours several measures were carried out in the search for clarification of the death of Córdoba. The representative of the Public Prosecutor’s Office (MPF) carried out raids in the HSJB. During the procedures were kidnapped by guard books, guard passes records and other documentation linked to medical care provided to the man who died days after having suffered a road accident.
-Prosecutor Barros Jorrat advances with new proceedings aimed at clarifying the circumstances of the death of the young man and determining whether or not irregularities existed in his medical care. Córdoba’s mother filed the criminal complaint against the doctor on Thursday. Until then, the Prosecutor’s Office worked ex officio in the event. The doctor is suspected by alleged bad praxis.
Case
The case of Córdoba was known on April 7 of this year. That day he died at the HSJB. The next day on the outskirts of the municipal morgue, in the capital city, relatives of the man denounced that there was an alleged bad praxis. Within the framework of the cause, various probative measures were already performed, such as the autopsy of the body, the kidnapping of the patient’s complete medical history and the taking of statements to health professionals and people linked to the medical care of man.
In this way, the Prosecutor’s Office focuses on the investigation into the doctor in question and in the care he gave to Córdoba. The case began being investigated by Instruction Prosecutor No. 9, Jonathan Felsztyna. He advanced with the investigation. On Thursday, Felsztyna sent the actions corresponding to Barros Jorrat because he corresponds to him by the jurisdiction and the turn.
Mal praxis is a term that is used in the medical and legal field to refer to the negligent or inappropriate behavior of a health professional in the care of a patient. Bad praxis may include a wrong diagnosis, inappropriate treatment, errors in medication administration, lack of adequate care, lack of patient information about their medical condition, among others.
In some cases, bad praxis can lead to injuries or even the patient’s death, which can lead to a legal demand against the health professional and/or the medical establishment involved.
