Veracruz, Ver., May 1, 2025.- A woman who manned her scooter for the first picture of the city of Veracruz was hospitalized after an accident in which she skidded and suffered a strong blow to her face.
The incident occurred on Thursday afternoon, when a call to the emergency number 911 alerted about the presence of the aggrieved lying on the asphalt folder of the Morelos bridge.
According to witnesses, the woman handled her scooter and, when she reached the curve to descend to Fidel Velázquez, she lost control due to the apparent lack of precaution, which caused her fall.
The victim skipped several meters on the pavement, so another motorcyclist who passed through the place stopped immediately, approached to help him and asked for the support of an ambulance.
Medical Emergency Technicians of the Escorpión Group were the ones who arrived to provide first aid to the victim, identified as María de los Ángeles Figueroa, 40, who suffered a severe head injury.
Once stabilized, the woman was transferred to the regional hospital of high specialty November 20, while traffic agents champion the site to remove the motorcycle from the place.
