Jerusalem, May 2 (EFE) .- The Israeli army confirmed the early morning of this Friday having intercepted, outside its borders, a missile launched by the Hutis rebels of Yemen, which activated the anti-aircraft sirens in different parts of the country “according to the protocol.”
“After the sound of the sirens in several areas of Israel, a missile launched from Yemen was intercepted,” he detailed shortly before five past five in the morning a military statement.
“The missile was intercepted before crossing Israeli territory. Sirens were activated according to the protocol,” he added.
According to emergency service teams, no calls on injuries have occurred after the attack attempt.
Just five days ago, another Missile of the Hutis was intercepted, and two more on April 23 and 13, in periodic attacks that are repeated since the beginning of the war in Gaza in October 2023 in a gesture that the Hutíes rebels – respaded by Tehran – qualify as solidarity with the Palestinian people and the Gazaties.

According to the US Central Command (Centcom), since the start of the ‘Operation Rough Rider’ the US forces have attacked more than 800 objectives and have killed “hundreds of huti combatants and numerous huti leaders, including high -handed by non -manned aerial missile controls.”
Washington acknowledges that the operation has failed to stop the insurgents, although it points out that the bombing campaign has reduced “the rhythm and efficacy of their attacks”, since ballistic missile releases have been reduced by 69 % and drones by 55 %.
