A person has died this Saturday at noon because of a fire declared in a house in Santa Maria de Palautordera (Barcelona), as reported by the Bombers of the Generalitat.
The fire, which began on the wooden porch of a patio that communicated with the house, was notified to emergency services at 11.54 hours. Eight dotations of the pumpers moved to the place to extinguish the fire and locate a person who, according to the notices, could be found inside the property.
The emergency teams managed to evacuate a person unconscious, who was at first attended by the firefighters themselves and subsequently by the personnel of the D’Eprències Mèdiques system (SEM). Despite resuscitation attempts, the person died.
Once the fire was extinguished, the teams performed ventilation and review tasks on both the porch and inside the house, and proceeded to predict and bald the affected area.
Four units of the SEM, members of the Local Police and several patrols of the Mossos d’Esquadra, who cut access to the area and have taken care of the investigation and the corresponding judicial works also moved to the place of the event.
