Donetsk Region: Consequences of Russian drones attacks
Russia launched a large -scale attack with drones against Ukraine between Saturday night and Sunday morning, deploying a total of 165 unmanned aerial vehicles, according to the Ukrainian armed forces. The most severe impact was recorded in kyiv and in the central region of Cherkasy, where attacks caused fires and multiple material damage.
In the Ukrainian capital, the State Emergency Service (SES) reported 11 people injured, including two children, as a result of the bombings. The drones impacted at least three kyiv districts: Obolonskyi, Sviathynskyi and Shevchenkivskyi. In Obolonskyi, a fire seriously affected a 12 -story building.
A neighbor, Nadiya, said the chaos lived during the attack:
“When it happened, we didn’t know what to do. I was with my son and said: ‘Come, let’s go!’ I took him like this, in pajamas, and ran here.
“We saw people going down the stairs to evacuate. We were sitting here in the dark. There was a strong fire, they were turning it off, and we were sitting here. Two boys were injured, an ambulance came, but they were not taken, they were probably very stressed,” he added.
