• Museums open their doors as living spaces for dialogue, reflection and imagination
The Ministry of Culture strengthens its commitment to youth by receiving, in its museum enclosures, students from different municipalities of the State. These visits that are made throughout the year, seek to establish a bridge between art, education and citizenship, thus promoting the full exercise of cultural rights.
During a full day the Morelenses enjoy immersive tours in spaces such as: the Morelense Museum of Contemporary Art (MMAC), the Morelense Museum of Popular Art (Mmapo), the Government Palace and the Jardín Borda Cultural Center. Through these experiences, they not only know the current exhibitions, but also interact with the teams in charge of assembling and coordinating the samples, generating a participatory, playful and enriching environment.
These actions strengthen the link of the Ministry of Culture with the various sectors of society, prioritizing at this stage the education sector. Implementing this type of activities allows strengthening the basis of active, critical and sensitive citizenship to artistic expressions. Thus, a seed is sown that drives new generations to find in art a legitimate form of expression and transformation.
For the head of the Ministry of Culture, Montserrat Orellana Colmenares, this work is essential: “We invite all the Morelenses to know and be part of these activities. Each visit represents an opportunity to discover art, connect with our history and reinforce the link between culture and our communities,” he said.
It should be remembered that visits to cultural enclosures are open to people of all ages; Likewise, attention to school and community groups will remain throughout the year 2025. To learn more about activities and coordinate visits, interested parties can follow the official networks of the Ministry of Culture and each of the participating museums.
