Long live music!: Around the book ‘Allegro Agitato’, by Gabriel Lauret

MURCIA. That Gabriel Lauret He was a lineage musician, great interpreter of violin and professor of camera music in the Superior Music Contest, is a cluster of certainties that we all already knew on this land. But, that he is a great writer, some we know him now. And so, thanks to his book, of successful title Cheerfuleven with young ink. And he does it with a limpid and very well ordered prose, in that he sets its contents with a tempo that keeps the sequences and orders them in a set that, naturally, makes them at an end.

Each chapter of this book is like a miniature novel. Or a well -substantiated script, in order to serve a later , in which all the impulses that, in each paragraph they hide. Gabriel Lauret wants us to love music. And he knows well of which unfortunate point he starts in Spain, unfortunately, to achieve such a company.

The author subtitles his with the epigraph of Music and musicians And far from complying with a helpful temporary ordination, he arranges his creations in the transversalities that his fine smell of in love with music and his history, he suggests. Let’s see: Let’s talk about musicians, baroque and classicism, about Quijote. The stations of the year, La Sonata to Kreutzer, the twentieth century, and other music themes. The is a very enjoyable diversity, a structure that flees the rigidity and an effective style, and, at the same , with a high degree of excellence, which, letting it be noticed, leaves in the reader a soft retroustment, as in the wines, which invites to reread the paragraph, in that miraculous intimacy, of each one with themselves, which is the silent reading.

The author likes to describe the side, good of musicians treated in the text, or the topics explained; which always appear dyed of endearing anecdotes, which discovers us. We listen, as sound evanescent waves and in low intensity, any score that explains us, surrounded by thousands of narrative arpegios, which makes an always pleasant, interesting and illustrative reading.

I do not understand that there is someone in this land where the author lives, Region of Murcia, who, being a musician, does not know this book. It is an excellent gift both to give to a musician, and for musicians to give it to both surrounding and safe it will be around. It is a safe investment this book, which won the New Journalism Award, Mar Editor.

When this chronicler studied art history in his very distant baccalaureate, music and history were not included. The same happened when he was given art history at the . A consubstantial limp to many generations of Spaniards. The author explains some of that in the final claim chapters. Knowing music is crying about the teaching of music in this country, which, despite this, both musical genius knew how to give humanity.

Gabriel Lauret, thank you very much.
