Pioneers and referents when defending chemical photography when many already gave it for dead, the festival Revela’t It returns as every year by these dates to convert the town of Vilassar de Dalt (Barcelona) in the capital of analog photography. An appointment that reaches its thirteenth edition with the motto “I have seen things that you would not believe …”
We do not know if it also burning ships beyond Orion, but what is certain is that from May 17 to June 15 there will be no exhibitions, talks, workshops and all kinds of activities around the photograph in its analog slope.
The weekend of May 23, 24 and 25 will be the central days of this event that, according to its organizers, wants to claim the “analog photography as an act of resistance and memory in a world saturated with images (digital)”. It is, returning to the motto of this edition, to wonder what would happen if one day all this was condemned to disappear “like tears in the rain.”
Claims and reflections, yes, in an atmosphere of celebration where family activities are not lacking, a lively photographic market with cameras, accessories and all kinds of material oriented, of course, to chemical photography. And, of course, the traditional popular paella on Sunday.

The Exhibition Agenda is one of this year’s strong dishes, which pays tribute to Juan Manuel Díaz Burgos, documentary and humanistic photographer. More than twenty exhibitions make up this year’s program, with authors such as Masahisa Fukase with their work Ravens or Rodney Smith (The End), among the most prominent samples that can be seen during these days.

Converted into an international referent of analog photography, within the framework of this festival they also organize visions of portfolios, specialized workshops on development techniques or experimental processes, a space dedicated to the fotlobros and the sale of the work of selected artists, among many other activities.
The complete agenda with all the information and schedules, as well as the purchase of tickets can be found on the official Revela’t.
