About thirty teachers have concentrated in front of the Provincial Directorate of Education in Zamora to protest the constant pressures suffered by students to modify the qualifications obtained by them in the different subjects. A trend that occurs in all educational cycles, but that is aggravated between the parents of high school students and professional training.
Claims, which occur with bad ways for teachers to change the note they consider appropriate or, directly, allow the following course to be suspended. A pressure situation that causes casualties for anxiety and depression in the teaching staff, although many times are not recognized as occupational diseases, according to José Manuel Ramos, president of the Teaching Personal Board.
The teachers assure that the Provincial Directorate of Education, and by extension to the Ministry of the Area, are helpless to teachers, as already happened with a conflictive case in Morales del Vino at the beginning of this course.
And while it is true that teachers deny that they must fulfill a minimum approved quota, they do protest because parents’ complaints have more weight than those of teachers in education. And it is that many parents, given the impossibility of convincing the teacher to raise their son’s notes, are directed directly to the provincial management.
