The PSOE spokesman criticizes the lack of real advances in the project of the City of justice, ensuring that there are only 700,000 euros in budgets by 2025 and no bidding in progress.
The PSOE spokesman at the City of Cádiz, Óscar Torres, has severely questioned the statements of the Minister of Justice, José Antonio Nieto, about the City of Justice project. After the appearance of Nieto, who presented the project’s viability study and submitted it to public information, Torres stressed that the project “is nothing more than smoke” until the Junta de Andalucía includes it in its budgets in a significant way.
Torres has criticized that, despite the ads of the counselor, the Board of the Junta de Andalucía for 2025 only includes a item of 764,380 euros for the city of justice, which, according to the socialist, would mean that the project would be completed in more than 200 years with this investment rate. In addition, the PSOE spokesman said that the Board was made with the land for free, but that it has spent great sums on other similar projects in other cities, such as the 70 million invested in Seville.
“The counselor cannot present a viability study as if it were an advance, when in reality there are no tenders or specific deadlines for the construction of the city of justice,” Torres said. The socialist spokesman compared this project with other non -compliance with the Regional Administration, such as the recovery of the Valcárcel building for education sciences, which was also abandoned.
Torres also questioned the attitude of the mayor of Cádiz, Bruno García, who, according to him, has focused more on his role as provincial president of the PP than to defend the interests of the city. “Garcia remains a faithful militant of the PP, without demanding anything for Cádiz,” added the PSOE spokesman.
Finally, Torres called that in the future the advisor Nieto does not return to Cádiz “to read a study that is on public exhibition”, but to announce concrete advances and tenders for the city of justice, which remains a stagnant project for the Cadiz city.
