To celebrate the date, the Undersecretary of Civil defense of the Government of Salta has remembered yesterday the extensive work that has been developed since 2007 with awareness and training activities in Sísima Prevention in public and private institutions, national, provincial and municipal organizations.
Through the implementation of the “earthquake and school” and “protecting the citizen” programs, and taking into account this significant date, civil defense trainers continue to train students and teachers of all levels.
Throughout the year, the Undersecretariat of Civil Defense works to raise awareness of the seismic risk, taking into account the geographical location of the province of Salta and the categorization of the National Institute of Seismic Prevention.
According to Salta’s civil defense, the importance of being transmitters of this information is related to the first response to an event of these characteristics. For this reason, the Government works on improving citizens’ formation and preparing them to face emergencies in an adequate way.
