Previously, the Pakistan Airport Authority had announced at dawn that Pakistan’s airspace remains closed “to any type of air traffic” from 3:15 local time (22:15 GMT) until 12:00 local time (07:00 GMT).
The announcement comes after the Pakistan government denounced that India launched missiles against “key military facilities”like the air bases of Noor Khan, Shorkot and Murid.

“Air defense systems neutralized and intercepted these hostile attacks on time,” the government published in its official X.
This is another of the episodes of the bilateral escalation after the attack of India, on Wednesday, May 7, to Pakistan and the Pakistani Kashmir, which caused at least 26 dead, all civilians, according to Islamabad. That same day, New Delhi reported at least 12 dead for Pakistani bombing.
The Pakistani government described the assault as a “flagrant act of war” and promised a “forceful response.” This is the point of maximum tension in more than two decades between these neighbors and enemies with nuclear weapons.
