
Philadelphia (AP)-Kyle Schwarber connected a homer in the first entry for the second consecutive game, Max Kepler and JT Realmuto added two triples, and the Philadelphia philis won the Washington nationals on Wednesday 7-2.
Schwarber launched a three -run homer against Washington’s opener, Jake Irvin. It was his ninth home run of the season and extended his embasted streak, the best of the big leagues, to 36 games, since last season.
Kepler connected his third homer of the campaign in the sixth entry against Irvin, and Realmuto added a four -corner stick against the Venezuelan Eduardo Salazar in the eighth. Bryson Stott and Nick Castellanos hit singles by Philadelphia, which has won four matches in a row.
The Dominican Cristopher Sánchez (3-1) allowed two races in five tickets of his first appearance since last Tuesday, when he left an opening after only two innings against the New York Mets due to a forearm pull.
-Nathaniel Lowe connected a double tug of nationals. Irvin (2-1) allowed six races and eight hits in six innings.
Before the game, the nationals shortened their batting practice when a member of their staff suffered a medical incident in the field. The person was attended by the medical staff of both teams and the stadium before being carried on a stretcher.
The nationals did not identify the individual, nor provided updated information before the conclusion of the game.
