
In the aftermath of violence on the sidelines of the Fair of Tours, the fun fair remains closed this Tuesday, May 6. And the gastronomic village will lower the curtain earlier than expected. Decision made by the town hall, in consultation with the prefecture of Indre-et-Loire.
This Tuesday, May 6, several visitors break their teeth, arriving at The Tours fun fair. Supposed to be open since 2 p.m., it will remain closed all day. The town hall and the prefecture of Indre-et-Loire announce it in a joint press release, the day after violence having punctuated the evening near the fairlocated just opposite. The city and state services also indicate that the gastronomic village of the fair will close earlier than expected on Tuesday at 11 p.m.
On Monday, the evening degenerated, avenue Camille-Chautemps. A fight broke out, after a dispute between several people, including fairgrounds, and security agents, forcing the municipal police to intervene and make use of tear gas. Municipal police officers were insulted, then struck for some. Two of them were prescribed days of ITT (total incapacity for work).
Complaints filed
Thereafter, two national police officers were also taken to task. One of them was seriously injured, after having received a head, brought with a happy object. He suffers from a Fracture of the rock, at the base of the skull.
The city of Tours and the prefecture of Indre-et-Loire ensure that complaints have been filed. They call “everyone to regain their minds, regardless of the results of the investigation which will allow us to better understand the origins of this brawl and to identify the perpetrators of the violent blows brought to the police.”
