Russia, May 8, 2025. The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Madurohe met with his counterpart Kazakhstan, Kasim-Yomart Tokáev, within the framework of a joint visit to Moscow, where both leaders approached strategies to consolidate the cooperation ties between their nations.

The meeting had as its main objective the strengthening of collaboration in fundamental areas, especially in the and energy field.

Venezuela expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Kazmunaygas, the company of Kazakhstan.

Since this country houses 50% of and gas reserves of the Caspian Sea and plays a crucial role in international forums such as OPEP+ and in the community of gas exporting countries.

Since 2019, the meeting in the capital Kazaja, Astaná took place, both countries to revitalize their relations in diplomatic, commercial and, in particular, energy.

This recent meeting reaffirms Venezuela’s commitment to strengthen its with Kazmunaygas, to joint exchanges and projects that benefit both nations.
