The 35-year-old forward returned to the club after his time at River, where he arrived in January 2019, just in the campaign in which Belgrano ended up being relegated.

–What will be the objectives for this new management?
–Continue growing in football and as an institution. The first achievement is to stay in the first division and qualify for international cups. Because the chance to be in the international cups allows us to show our great sporting talent. And not only in the masculine but also in the feminine, which is latent and we are always fighting for something. We want to make Belgrano bigger in infrastructure. Because the club only asks you to. Socially, continue working with the partner as we are currently working. On the basis, try to go for a larger Belgrano. Those who left and those who remain want that. And economically, continue consolidating the club in all aspects. To continue doing works and continue enriching the team.

Just before the deadline for closing the list was met (Monday, April 15) and it was presented, a tremendous political earthquake occurred in the “Belgrano Primero” group, which is the one that has led the club since 2021.
The fight sent “blood into the river” and there were some casualties of “important” people in the decision-making and daily management of the club, who for this reason will have their last act of government this Sunday at 8 p.m. when the assembly gets underway.
The casualties that occur on the list: the second vice, Héctor Oscar Baistrocchi; the third vice, Héctor Alfredo Gennaro; the treasurer, Cristian Diego Merlino and four regular members, Pablo Siciliano, Diego Funes, Juan Hipólito Negri and Rodrigo Rufeil.
Artime decided to shake up the internal shelf and although his entourage assured that the intention was not for all these departures to occur, they did occur and today it is a reality that the positions were redistributed and there will be several new faces in the leadership of the club and at the executive table.
Several join the management. As regular members, Gerardo Jurgens, Gastón Federico Rodríguez and Jorge Daniel Videla and as substitute members, Pablo Matías Leiva, Agustín Alberto Medrano, María Pía Carranza, Guillermo Pérez and Paola Pucheta.
Jurgens, Pucheta and Mariano Méndez, who will be named pro-secretary of the new CD in the assembly, are people who were very close to the Siempre Belgrano group in the 2021 elections.
