Carlos Palacios does not lose sight of the National Team. The midfielder, one of the high points in Colo Colo’s irregular season, wants to be nominated again by Ricardo Gareca for La Roja and, above all, he hopes that his name is on the list that will compete in the Copa América in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
Everything indicates that the midfielder will be one of the names that makes up the call, because he was already summoned by the coach to the friendlies that the team played in Europe, against Albania and France, but he had to be withdrawn due to an injury. Of course, Palacios revealed that he already had a dialogue with Gareca and he expressly requested something from him.
“I had the chance to talk to him. He told me what he expected of me and what he had to improve to make it to the National Team. “He told me that I had to be regular and show here (in the National Championship) that I can be nominated.”the 23-year-old midfielder told Radio Pauta.
Regarding the possibility of going to the contest that will take place in North America, he mentioned: “There is a change that is being made. The last two games were very good and there were a lot of young players, so it will be a different Copa América from the previous ones where it was the footballers we all know. “We are going to try to do our best in these games to be able to get there.”
