Likewise, 1,109 preventive controls were carried out and 202 traffic violations were issued.
As part of the police work, four knives, approximately 170 kilos of drugs in different procedures and 33,108 packs of contraband cigarettes were seized.
This last procedure originated with the collaboration of SAG Tarapacá, in the commune of Alto Hospicio, when observing a man who was loading a large number of boxes into a truck.
For this reason, Carabineros came to inspect the vehicle, at which point the driver, upon seeing the police presence, abandoned the vehicle, proceeding to inspect it and finding in the cargo area a large number of boxes that contained a number of packs of cigarettes of different brands. .
