PHILADELPHIA — Alec Bohm had an RBI single that extended his hit streak to 16 games, Brandon Marsh drove in two runs and the inspired Philadelphia Phillies beat the San Francisco Giants 4-3 on Friday.

Trea Turner had two hits for Philadelphia, which has won 14 of 17 and leads the majors with 22 wins.

Venezuelan Thairo Estrada stood out for the Giants with a double that brought in two runs.

Wearing their City Connect alternate uniform on a cool May night, the Phillies played the first of six home games. And they started where they finished, after winning seven of 10 games on the road.

Matt Strahm (2-0) relieved starter Aaron Nola and allowed no runs in the fifth inning. Venezuelan José Alvarado kept San Francisco at bay to earn his sixth save.

Philadelphia took a 3-2 lead in the third inning off Jordan Hicks (2-1) on Bohm’s single and Marsh’s productive hit.

For the Phillies, Panamanian Edmundo Sosa went 1-for-1.

For the Giants, Venezuelan Thairo Estrada was 2-for-4 with two RBIs.
