River will face Nacional from Uruguay this Tuesday, May 7 from 9 p.m. at the Gran Parque Central Stadium, in Montevideo. Martín Demichelis’ team has an ideal score in Group H of the Copa Libertadores, they want to go for more and the previous one has already begun to beat Álvaro Recoba, coach of the Uruguayan team.
“Chino” Recoba joked about the state of the playing field and jokingly warned River: “Maybe we leave the grass higher so they don’t play so fast.” Beyond the occasional joke, the coach who spoke after his team’s victory against Racing de Montevideo was positive about Tuesday’s duel.
Recoba and the good countenance to receive River
Álvaro Recoba was forceful when talking about what they expect from River. Based on that, the technical director of Nacional de Montevideo stated: “River is a strong team, but we have our weapons.” It should be noted that prior to the duel in Buenos Aires, both teams arrived as leaders in the Copa Libertadores after winning their first games.
On the other hand, he also revealed that the strategy was to target River and that is why he had to change some players in the duel against Racing. “There is good energy and you win. Against Racing the rotation was fair, I leaned towards those who were in better conditions”said Chino, who will try to beat Demichelis’ team to advance the classification.
