San Lorenzo extended his stay in the Copa Libertadores 2024 by advancing to the round of 16 after taking a point from Palmeiras on Thursday night, at the close of Group F, while River Plate, with a double from Miguel Ángel Borja, closed the group stage as the best of the first eight.

Cruzeiro and Ameliano, last to join directly to the round of 16 of the Sudamericana
Sportivo Ameliano of Paraguay gave the surprise last Thursday by advancing directly to round of 16 of the Copa Sudamericana, relegating Athletico Paranaense from Brazil to the playoffs on the last date of the group stage that also qualified Cruzeiro.
Richard Torales, in the 61st minute, was the scorer of the goal that gave the Guaraníes the victory and qualification, in a face-to-face match against the Brazilians at the Arena Da Baixada stadium in Curitiba.
