At the beginning of this year, Jordhy Thompson moved to Russia to join the Orenburg team, after saying goodbye to Colo Colo in the middle of a judicial process for domestic violence that he carried out against his ex-partner. Despite the legal complications, Thompson managed to move to the European continent after paying a considerable sum of money, specifically 100 million pesos.

Now, the young footballer is passing through our country, where he met with his family and friends. However, his return has not been without controversy.

In a recent live broadcast made by one of his friends on Instagram, he was seen driving and singing a modified version of the song “Gata Only” by FloyyMenor and Cris MJ.

Instead of the original lyrics, Thompson intoned: “If you’re with me, I’m not going to hit you.”which caused Núñez to laugh, but did not generate the same effect on social networks.

The video quickly went viral, captured and spread by various entertainment portals. The reactions were swift. Social media users condemned Thompson’s statements, considering them a mockery of her own judicial situation and of victims of domestic violence.

Jordhy Thompson’s FIV conviction

Let us remember that The footballer was convicted of frustrated femicide, domestic violence (VIF) and contempt, for attacks carried out on his ex-partner Camila Sepúlveda. Despite the serious crimes, he managed to leave the country free after paying a million-dollar bail.

Without a doubt, his actions call into question a possible repentance for the acts committed against his ex-partner, despite the fact that a few weeks ago he claimed to have made a “mea culpa.”

“The truth is that I made a mea culpa in the face of everything that happened (…) here we are, trying to do the right thing, I am not in a hurry about what may happen with my career in the future and thus achieve my goals,” he stated on that occasion.
