ATLANTA — The Oakland Athletics snapped Chris Sale’s seven-game winning streak by beating the Atlanta Braves 11-9 on Saturday.

Brent Rooker also homered and drove in four runs for Oakland. His two-run double in the sixth gave the A’s a 10-9 lead. Ninth batter Max Schuemann went 4 for 4 with three runs scored.

Dominican Marcell Ozuna hit his 17th home run and finished with four RBIs for the Braves, who have lost 11 of 17 games. Michael Harris II had three hits and Matt Olson hit a two-run homer.

Michael Kelly (3-2) earned the win with a scoreless inning. Dominican Dany Jiménez worked a scoreless ninth inning for his first save of the season.

Sale had his worst outing with Atlanta, allowing eight runs and nine hits in four innings. He struck out four and walked one. It was the most runs he allowed in a game since 2019.

For the Athletics, Dominican Miguel Andujar is 4-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs. Cuban Aledmys Díaz 3-1 with one scored.

For the Braves, Venezuelan Orlando Arcia went 1 for 4 with one run scored. Dominican Ozuna is 2-for-5 with two runs scored and four RBIs.
