NEW YORK — Teoscar Hernández opened the scoring with a two-run double in the 11th inning and the Los Angeles Dodgers beat the Yankees 2-1 on Friday to stop New York’s best winning streak of eight wins.

In a duel that sounded like a World Series preview, Yoshinobu Yamamoto pitched seven scoreless innings, with three hits in his debut at Yankee Stadium. Anthony Bada, Blake Treinen, Daniel Hudson, Michael Grove (4-2) and Yohan Ramírez finished the Dodgers’ five-hit game.

Ramirez, who is pitching for his third team this season, earned his first save in two years after allowing a one-out RBI single to Aaron Judge. Ramírez threw the third strike past Giancarlo Stanton to retire Anthony Rizzo with a pop foul and put New York at 1-4 in extra-innings this year.

Dominican Juan Soto missed his first game of the season with the Yankees with an elbow injury, although he seemed ready to enter the final innings.

For the Dodgers, Dominican Teoscar Hernández was 2-for-4 with two RBIs. Puerto Rican Kiké Hernández 3-1. Cuban Andy Pagés 4-0.

For the Yankees, Venezuelan Gleyber Torres 3-0.
