ARLINGTON, Texas, USA — Puerto Rican Heliot Ramos drove in all of San Francisco’s runs and the Giants went ahead on the scoreboard with his two-run home run in a 3-1 victory on Saturday against the Texas Rangers.

The Giants, who won the World Series three times under Ranger manager Bruce Bochy between 2010 and 2014, have taken the first two games to win the series against their former manager, who returned from retirement to lead Texas to its first qualification.

After Austin Slater walked to start the game, Ramos drove in with a double. The game remained tied at 1 in the third before Slater hit a one-out single and Ramos followed with his sixth home run.

Erik Miller (1-2) worked a scoreless inning and two strikeouts in relief of starter Spencer Howard, who played for Texas, with two outs in the fifth. Dominican Camilo Duval emerged from a two-runner-on-base jam in the ninth for his 11th save in 13 opportunities.

For the Giants, Puerto Rican Heliot Ramos was 2-for-4 with one run scored and three RBIs. Venezuelans Wilmer Flores 4-1, Thairo Estrada 4-0. Cuban Jorge Soler 4-0.

For the Rangers, Cuban Adolis García 3-0. The Dominicans Ezequiel Durán 4-1, Leody Taveras 4-0.
