With a prologue of 4.77 kilometers, the Tour of Switzerland began, a race that the teams take in preparation for the Tour de France. This does not mean that it is not important, on the contrary, many of the winners from Switzerland repeat the title in France. . There was no one who came close to that time, the specialists were left wanting to place themselves in the hot seat, Bissegger, who was officiating at home, was three seconds away from setting the best time, Hayter also made three seconds lower with a few thousandths more.
The other candidates for the stage continued arriving one by one, without managing to lower the mark and finally Yves Lampaert managed to take the first leader’s shirt of the Test, followed by Stefan Bissegger from EF Education EasyPost, third place went to Ethan Hayter from Ineos Grenadiers. Egan Bernal was the best Latin American in position 44, 18 seconds behind the leader.
