Brad Hollingerco-owner of Hollinger Racing Juncosaddressed the recent events that led to Agustín Canapino to take a temporary leave during the Road America Grand Prix. Hollinger began by explaining the nature of the incident that led to the decision to temporarily remove Canapino: “It was an unfortunate racing incident. Regarding Canapino’s return to the team, Hollinger commented: “Agustín showed a significant change over the weekend. He reflected deeply on the situation and expressed his genuine desire to continue competing for JHR. This evolution made us feel confident that he is mentally prepared and committed to the team and its objectives.”
Regarding preventative measures to avoid similar incidents, Hollinger stated: “We have reinforced our internal communication and public relations policies. It is crucial that everyone on the team maintain a unified and professional message at all times. Additionally, we are considering establishing a partnership with organizations that promote mental health and combat online abuse.”
ECONOMIC OUTLOOK AND FUTURE OF NOLAN SIEGEL
Hollinger clarified that the decision to lower Canapino from Road America had no related economic motivations: “Our sponsors for 2024 are Americans, and we do not have a current economic link with Argentina. “Our decision was based exclusively on sporting and team considerations.”
Furthermore, he spoke of Nolan Siegelwho replaced Canapino at Road America, Hollinger and expressed optimism about his future with JHR: “Siegel proved to be a talented driver and brave to give up his fight for the Indy NXT championship to join us. “We are evaluating how to best integrate it into our future plans.”
