The edition 87 of the Tour of Switzerland is in its final stretch after stage 7 was held this Saturday, June 15. The day included a demanding route of 118.2 kilometers with four mountain passes.

The finish line, located in Villars-sur-Ollon, was a difficult challenge for the favorites’ peloton, taking into account that it had a climb of 7.9 kilometers with an average gradient of 7.6%.

The group of favorites, with the British Adam Yates (UAE Team Emirates) at the head and commanding the general classification, he controlled any attempt by his rivals, with the advantage of having Joao Almeida (UAE Team Emirates) as Yates’ main squire and also occupying second position overall.

The Colombian Egan Bernal, third in the Tour of Switzerland, put his INEOS Grenadiers squad to work in order to wear down UAE Team Emirates and try to surprise at the end of the section.
