What happened?
Meganoticias delivers the results of the Plaza Pública de Cadem survey this Sunday, June 16, which addressed, among its points, the evaluation of the work carried out by technical director Ricardo Gareca at the command of the Chilean National Team.
In addition, he explained the approval and disapproval of President Gabriel Boric’s management, and the variation of this measurement with respect to last week’s survey.

When asked: “In general, how do you evaluate the work of Ricardo Gareca at the helm of the Chilean soccer team?” 71% of those surveyed indicated that it has been “good or very good”; 3% that have been “regular”; and the 8% who have been “bad or very bad”. Furthermore, a 18% “does not know / does not respond”.
Next champion of America
When asked about: “Who do you think will be the champion of the Copa América?” 38% answered “Chile”; 27% “Brazil”; 20% “Argentina”; 6% “Uruguay”: 1% “Colombia”; 1% “Paraguay”. Furthermore, 7% “do not know/do not respond”.
Meanwhile, when asked, with alternatives given, regarding: “Which of the following soccer players from the Chilean national team is your favorite?”, the alternatives that had the greatest number of mentions were the following:
- Alexis Sánchez: With 60 total mentions.
- Claudio Bravo: With 54 total mentions.
- Eduardo Vargas: With 20 total mentions.
- Ben Brereton: With 16 total mentions.
- Mauricio Isla: With 9 total mentions.
- Gabriel Suazo: With 6 total mentions.
Faced with the question: “Do you. Will you see the Copa América matches?” he 61% answered “yes”; 38% “no”; and 1% “does not know/does not respond”.
Presidential Approval
Asked: “Regardless of your political position, do you approve or disapprove of the way Gabriel Boric is leading his Government?”, a 34% of those surveyed stated that they approve the management of the President and a 59% who disapprove. Furthermore, 2% “neither approve nor disapprove”; and 5% “does not know/does not respond”.
Variation compared to the last survey
The above shows a 2% decrease in disapproval of President Boric’s managementwhile approval of the President’s performance increased by 2%regarding the same consultation made on June 9.
The survey was prepared with data submitted by telephone by men and women aged 18 or over, inhabitants of the 16 regions of the country, achieving 702 effective cases of a total of 7,122 calls made. This represents a success rate of 9.9%.
