Atlético Nacional is negotiating a reinforcement with Pereira

Gil, 29 years old, has stood out in smaller teams throughout his career, with his time at Deportivo Pereira being one of the most notable stages. In the recently concluded season, He was a key piece for the Matecaña team to reach high positions in the tabledemonstrating his scoring capacity with more than five goals in 18 games as a starter.

Although he has never played for a big team in Colombia, Gil has experience in the first division, having passed through clubs such as Atlético Huila in 2023 and La Equidad in 2022. Fáber Gil’s career

Fabián Gil’s career is not that extensive although, at only 29 years old, he has already traveled a significant path. He took his first steps in Envigadowhere, despite playing only three games, it was enough for him to debut in the first division in 2016. In 2018, he left for Panama to join the United Arab team, where he remained until 2019.

In Panama, he played 24 games, scored two goals and accumulated 125 minutes on the court. In 2019 he returned to Colombia, but to play in the second division with Leones. He was with that team until 2020, which helped him gain more experience and add minutes on the court, scoring six goals in those two years.

In 2021, he arrived at Atlético Huila, when the team was still in the second division. He established himself as a starter in 11 of the 19 games and scored three goals, contributing to the team’s promotion to the first division, where he also participated, marking his return to the highest category of Colombian football. That season, he started 5 of the 10 games, although he failed to score goals.

In 2022, it landed in Equity, where he started 6 of the 23 games without scoring goals. Finally, in 2023 he returned to Atlético Huila, where he was barely able to score a goal in 34 games as a starter and accumulated 2,817 minutes on the court. However, 2024 was, without a doubt, his best year in terms of goals, with a total of six scored in 18 games as a starter of the 21 he played with Pereira.
