HOUSTON (AP) — Ronel Blanco pitched seven solid innings and Chas McCormick hit two home runs to lead the Houston Astros to a 5-1 victory over the Baltimore Orioles on Saturday.

Cuban Yordan Álvarez added a two-run homer to help Houston extend its winning streak to four games.

Blanco (8-2), who pitched seven hitless innings in his last start, allowed four hits and one run with three strikeouts for his third straight win.

Álvarez put the Astros ahead with his 16th home run, which came off Corbin Burnes (8-3) in the third inning, and McCormick made it 4-1 in the fifth. McCormick had the fifth multi-homer game of his career when he hit again in the eighth.

Burnes allowed five hits, including a season-high two homers. He allowed four runs in seven innings to break his career-best streak of 10 consecutive quality starts.

He was 5-0 in seven starts since a loss at Washington on May 7.

For the Astros, the Dominicans Yainer Diaz 3-1 with one run scored and Jeremy Peña 3-1. Honduran Mauricio Dubón went 2-0 with one RBI.
